Back in the summer of 2006, I spent quite a long period in Blagnac (Toulouse) at my sister's home for the summer. We were back from Dordogne and were in the midst of preparing for the trip to Spain when this uninvited guess paid us a surprise visit.
The Morel family arrived the day before and voila, one fine morning, this little guy was found sleeping soundly all curled up inside a rubbish bag used for keeping charcoal. The children had an exciting time looking at the hedgehog...it was shy but did not run away! Mme Morel opined that some milk should be left near the little fellow to lure him out of his slumber and guess what, it ACTUALLY works! However, the hedgehog (called herisson in French) left the next day much to the dismay of the children.
