View from Ulu Kali

I recently went up to Gunung Ulu kali for a quick survey of the area for butterfly fauna - relatively poor BUT the most spectacular thing up there was the rolling clouds below...

Chance encounter with the Yellow-throated Flower Pecker

The Yellow-throated Flower Pecker, Prionochilus maculatus is a forest denizen and is often seen around edges of the forest especially around shaded trails where it hunts for insects. This one was one of a pair.
