Just a drive away from Lausanne down the slopes is Ouchy, by the lakesides of Lac Léman. We arrived after lunch and went paddle boating (couldn't get any available cruise that fits our time)...water was surprisingly choppy despite its calm allure and it does have a very seaside resort feel to it. Right opposite Ouchy is the imposing summits of the Alps visible through cracks in the clouds and the small town of Evian (where you get your mineral water from!) at its foot hills, on the French border of the lake...
